GAR Souvenir Cane:  This cane was a souvenir from the 26th encampment of the Grand Army of the Republic held September 20, 1892 in Washington, D.C.  It is black painted wood shaft with a white metal handle and tip.  On the butt of the handle is a likeness of General Grant.  On one side of the handle is the GAR membership badge and above it is the patent date of the cane; Aug. 23, '92.  On the other side of the handle is the information about the encampment.  The tip on this rattles and is loose but it doesn't come off.  It probably had a rubber cover on it originally to prevent slippage when used as a cane..

VINTAGE MODEL WW2  AIRPLANES:  I believe these were made and sold in the 1960's.  They were made by a company called PACTRA and the name of the models is AERO-FLEX.  There are four different airplanes: the Japanese Zero, the German ME-109, the British Spitfire and the American P-40.  They have 7 1/2" - 8" wing spans. They appear to be made from styrofoam.  I don't think they would last long on the playground but they would look neat displayed on your shelf, in the package or assembled.  I have several of each airplane and the cost is for one airplane.  If you would like to buy all that I have left (about 60) they would come with the store countertop display as shown in the photo..

ST. LOUIS WORLDS FAIR?
SOUVENIR FROM MISSOURI:  Medal that has SOUVENIR on the pin piece and a pendant of the GREAT SEAL of the STATE of MISSOURI.  It is of the type seen circa 1880-WW1.  It doesn't say so but I speculate this was a souvenir purchased at the 1904 Louisiana Purchase Exposition (St. Louis World's Fair, 1904).  Pretty good displayable condition although the pin piece has separated from the ribbon.  Would need a stitch or two to reattach it if desired.  For display it looks ok just laying in place.  Measures about 3 1/4" X 1 1/2" in size.  Not hallmarked.

SPANISH-AMERICAN WAR 45 STAR FLAG:  National Flag of 1896-1908. Size is about 5' X 7'.  Sewn stripes and sewn on white material stars.  Lots of holes all over with some larger tears.  It is getting "threadbare" and fragile.  Name on the edging  "W.F. DOMINICK".  It was still being flown on occasion in Cody, WY into the 1990's.  I bought it in Cody in 1995 and used it once as a back drop for a display.
48 STAR, U.S. FLAG:  Nice little flag; near new looking.  Only thing I see wrong is at the top right corner the hem seam is loose, about 1/2"; easily fixed, you may be able to see it in the photos.  Size is about 24" X 35" , perfect for a display.  There is a sleeve pocket on the left to slide over a staff. The stripes are sewn together and the stars are embroidered.  Flag material appears to be nylon or rayon or silk?  It is a slick material. 48 Star flags used from 1912-1959.  This one reportedly used on a Naval Launch.
USMC ASHTRAY, CAMP LEJEUNE, NC: Metal ashtray with the USMC EGA in the bottom of the bowl with "CAMP LEJEUNE, NC".  A large anchor across the top.  "MADE IN USA" on the bottom.  It has some weight to it being cast metal and not a punched out sheetmetal thing.

SPANISH-AMERICAN WAR TOY SOLDIERS:  There are six soldiers and one officer of the Spanish Army as they would have been uniformed during the Spanish American War of 1898.  They possibly could be Cuban, but I believe they are Spaniards. These are old originals from the patriotic time following the War with Spain, probably around 1900.  The six soldiers are a little over 6" tall and the mounted officer is over 7" tall. They are cut outs on heavy, rigid card stock and inserted into a wood base.  Nice graphics on the front with the backs blank. Nice displayable condition with no major damages noted.  Hard to find toys from over100 years ago.

RARE.  U.S. ARMY QUARTERMASTER CORPS DISH:  This little 6" X 4-1/4" dish has in blue the Quartermaster Corps insignia with "U.S.A." above it and "T.S." below.  I could find nothing like it on EBay, now or sold in the past.  My only reference is from a Military Dealer's catalog from years ago and he called it "RARE" and "TRANSPORT SUPPLY" with a question mark behind it like he didn't know what it was either.  He had it priced at $50 way back then.  The dish was made by GREENWOOD CHINA of TRENTON, NJ.   No chips.

WW1 SOUVENIR FROM COBLENZ:
I think this is a handkerchief souvenir from WW1.  It is framed and appears to be silk with a lace border.  The insignia of the 4th Inf. Div.; 3rd Army is embroidered in one corner.  Below that is "Coblenz 1919".  Coblenz was the Sustainment Center for the Doughboys occupying Germany during the Armistice cease fire period.  Read about them here:  http://www.alu.army.mil/alog/issues/SepOct10/coblenz_excellence.html . Frame is 13-1/4" X 12-3/4".
